Lead Paint on Pre-1978 Homes
Federal law presumes any home built before 1978 contains lead paint, and a large share of Hartford County’s housing predates that cutoff. We flag suspected lead paint at the estimate and follow lead-safe renovation practices, as EPA RRP rules require, on any work that disturbs painted surfaces.
Abatement itself is separate, licensed work. When a property needs it, we recommend a licensed abatement contractor before the remodel proceeds.
